In her spare time while completing her residency in obstetrics and gynecology, Linnea is pursuing a doctoral degree in the Clinical Epidemiology Unit in the Department of Medicine, Solna at the Karolinska, Institutet under the supervision of Dr. Olof Stephansson and Dr. Giulia Muraca.

Linnea's doctoral research uses data from population-based birth registries in Sweden in an effort to better understand the trends, risk factors and predictors of post-partum hemorrhage and severe post-partum hemorrhage. In addition to this work, Linnea has published studies on cesarean delivery trends, obstetric brachial plexus injury and fetal growth.
